Raven’s Description
In the Ravens program teens (9th-12th grades) will work directly with students as an assistant to the main teacher. Ravens will gain experience leading activities, managing spaces, working with children of many different ages, and learn through hands-on activities in either academic or outdoor settings.
When you apply to be a Raven, you can choose to only work Nature Days, only work Classroom Days, or do both! It is completely free to be a Raven, but not everyone who applies will be accepted. Limited spots are available.
Daily Schedule
8:30am-12pm
A typical day for a Raven will look like this:
8:30 Arrive and meet with your teacher to get the game plan for the day
8:45-9 Student drop off, hang out with them until school starts
9-9:15 Opening meeting (whole school)
9:15-11:45 Classes/activities, you will help with whatever is needed that day
11:45-12 Closing meeting (whole school)
12 Dismissal
12-4 Aftercare, you can stay and help as long as you want (optional)
If you would like to, you can also stay until 4 (when after care ends)

What to Bring
When coming to Branches there are a few things you should bring to make sure your day goes well:
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen/bug spray
- Snacks
- WATER BOTTLE
- Extra clothes
- Anything else you need to feel comfortable
You should apply if:
- You love the outdoors and want to share your knowledge with our students
-You want to gain more knowledge, since you will be learning right along side the students
- You are homeschooled and looking for more ways to connect with your community
- You want a way to get ready before applying to paid jobs
- You like working with kids
- You are ready to spend your days making a difference in the lives of others
